This role requires strong organisational skills, leadership capability, and the ability to coordinate multiple operational elements to deliver high-quality events in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
THE ROLE
Moving Venue is one of the original event caterers in London. With accreditation at over 30 venues in London, Moving Venue caters for over 350 events annually. The scale and variety of these events showcase our talent for handling challenging projects while continually pushing the boundaries of what is achievable.
The role is responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, and successful delivery of all Lodge Dining at 60 Great Queen Street events, ensuring food production and onsite operations run smoothly and to the highest standards.
The role plays a key part in maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency across both the base kitchen and onsite event delivery.
This role requires strong organisational skills, leadership capability, and the ability to coordinate multiple operational elements to deliver high-quality events in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the smooth running of all Freemasons events onsite.

Plan and coordinate all food orders for events.

Attend and contribute to weekly pre-event meetings to ensure all operational requirements are communicated effectively.

Coordinate and book all staffing required for onsite event delivery.

Work closely with the production kitchen chef team to ensure the smooth preparation of food for events.

Develop and write quarterly menus in line with Freemasons’ expectations and standards.

Effectively delegate tasks within the kitchen brigade to ensure staff are motivated, supported, and developed within their roles.

Collaborate with the senior chef team to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained for all preparation and service requirements.

Schedule directly employed casual staff and agency staff in line with business needs.

Work closely with the Head of Production to ensure all food produced onsite and at the base kitchen meets client and venue requirements and complies with relevant legislation.

Contribute to the development of new dishes and menus in conjunction with the Group Executive Chef.

Monitor food preparation across all sections of the base kitchen to ensure efficient and timely production.

Ensure all chefs follow food production and storage procedures that comply with Food Safety legislation and best practice.

Ensure Head Chefs and the Packing and Dispatch Manager accurately record and retain all required Food Safety and Health & Safety documentation.

Maintain awareness of new products, ingredients, kitchen budgets, and costings to support efficient kitchen operations and menu development.

Assist the Kitchen Manager with the ordering and purchasing of food products as required.
HEALTH & SAFETY / FOOD SAFETY DUTIES

Support the Production Head Chef at the base kitchen to ensure the Group’s Food Safety Policy, Health & Safety standards, and current legislation are adhered to at all times.

Ensure all relevant Food Safety and Health & Safety records are maintained and submitted to the Kitchen Manager as required.

Assist with the base kitchen cleaning schedule, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and hygienically maintained in accordance with COSHH and Health & Safety legislation.

Assist the Kitchen Manager in the implementation and monitoring of the company’s Health & Safety and Food Safety policies.

Complete all required training, including mandatory and online training, and support the team in completing relevant training requirements.

Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the efficient and profitable operation of the business.

Support the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility Policy by minimising waste across operations and ensuring environmentally responsible disposal of food and materials.
