Agency Pancake Challenge

For several years now we have held a Pancake Day challenge for some of our favourite event agencies. This event is annually held at Landing Forty Two, which as the highest dedicated event space in London, makes for the perfect location for the UK’s highest pancake toss!

Guests were put to the test across four pancake challenges, the first, is the absolute classic, how many times can the pancake be flipped in 30 seconds. The second challenge ‘build your own blini’ tested guests presentation skills allowing those challengers to create their own blini with toppings such as smoked salmon, cucumber, sweet potato, diced beetroot and mini quail’s eggs.

The next challenge was the all-important taste test, our agency friends created made-to-order crêpes. Judged by our Head Chef, the guests were given scores for their different flavour combinations.

The fourth and final challenge was the absolute favourite amongst guests allowing them to design a creation on a classic American Style pancake. The challenge allowed guests to choose between options such as Smarties, Jelly Beans, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, candyfloss, and edible rice paper emojis to create an ‘If my agency were a pancake’ design. Some ingenious and really creative designs were created.

Whilst guests enjoyed the challenges, we circulated breakfast canapés as well as serving -made-to-order juices.

Unfortunately, we were unable to host the event this year in person so held a virtual Pancake Challenge online with challenges such as how many flips in 30 seconds, and most creative design. We loved seeing so many agencies getting involved across social media, however the very worthy winners were Venue Search London, Eventify and Arrowhead Management. They will all be enjoying a wonderful virtual cheese and wine tasting as their prize. We can’t wait to host the 2022 edition back in person once more.
