The UK’s first CO2-neutral event venue is coming to London!
Oceandiva London arrives in the capital in Spring 2023 and will revolutionise the London hospitality sector. Moving Venue have the privilege of being the dedicated catering partner of the vessel. Owned and operated by Smart Group, Moving Venue’s parent company, Oceandiva London will be the sister venue to Evolution London.
The ship spans three decks, allowing clients to host glamorous receptions, gala dinners, cutting-edge product launches and brand activations for up to 1,500 guests standing and 500 seated.
The architecture and design of the vessel welcomes guests on board to experience the City, connecting guests to London’s world-renowned landmarks. Whether moored or sailing, the internal height of the vessel allows for huge production value and the exterior space gives guests a unique opportunity to view London through its main artery, The River Thames.
With sustainability at its core, Oceandiva London is committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of events on the environment by utilising advanced technology and environmental practices. For each and every event held onboard Oceandiva London, we will be able to leverage technology to help us track and measure the carbon impact of the entire event.
Working with industry body ‘isla’, we will be able to determine where any carbon emission reductions can be made across the lifecycle of an event; from sourcing, energy used, food and beverage choices to audience travel and everything else in between.
Moving Venue are thrilled to work with a venue that shares our vision for delivering sustainable events. We are committed to local and seasonal sourcing and believe this goes hand in hand with reducing food miles and our collective carbon footprint. We are committed to buying products of the highest quality and as a fresh food company over 80% of the produce we source is brought in fresh. We focus on seasonality and sustainability and where possible buy food that has been produced in the UK.
At Moving Venue we have always taken great pride in our portfolio and believe that Oceandiva London is a phenomenal addition. We cannot wait to deliver exception events on board the vessel as she sails through the beating heart of the capital, the River Thames. Indeed, Oceandiva London will be our very own ‘moving venue’!
