Venue Update

After three long years, 13th January marked the return of the biggest hospitality event of the year, Hospitality Rocks. The event is hailed as the ‘only Christmas party exclusively for the hospitality and events industry’. Not only was it a tremendous celebratory evening, there was also fundraising for two fantastic charities and an incredible £30,000 was raised for Hospitality Action and Springboard!

Evolution London, 1,800 guests for a seated dinner

This year guests partied with us in the ‘city that never sleeps’, with an incredible ‘New York, New York’ theme.
The night started with a walk up the red carpet, with guests striking a pose for the awaiting paparazzi. As guests were transported to New York, the drinks and canapés began to flow with some dynamic entertainment acts. Before we knew it, the snow began to fall and the dining space was spectacularly revealed. Guests made their way to their seats to the sounds of ‘New York, New York’ performed live by an incredible band.

Moving Venue produced a stunning three-course meal, featuring some hearty festive classics, whilst guests were treated to Broadway-worthy performances of the Lion King and Moulin Rouge before the evening entertainment of a live band, ‘Rockaoke’, dodgems and an incredible DJ began!

After three years, it was truly incredible to deliver this very special event again and to see so many valued industry friends throughout the evening. The return of Hospitality Rocks really does reinforce the fact that events are truly back and better than ever!

and to top it off..

We raised a huge amount of money for two fantastic causes

On top of the all-important celebrations, £24,000 was raised for Hospitality Action and Springboard through the generosity of all the guests with a silent auction featuring a Pele shirt and even a Lapland experience for two. Additionally, to many guests delight, with a small donation, taking a shot through the breathtaking Chrysler Building Ice Luge was another way to donate on the evening. Smart Group are topping this total up to £30,000 to ensure the money raised can help as many people as possible through these valuable charities.

Each year, Hospitality Action help thousands of people through challenging times, offering a wide range of services to help hospitality professionals back on their feet again after a setback. Springboard help disadvantaged and unemployed people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life to fall in love with hospitality and to flourish in a lifelong career. With both charities being close to our hearts, we were thrilled to have raised so much!
