Celebrating Somerset House's 25th Anniversary

Our incredibly talented team served up some bold British flavours to celebrate the momentous Somerset House's 25th anniversary.

It’s not every day such a historic and culturally significant venue turns 25. To mark this memorable milestone, our Moving Venue team pulled out all the stops to create a series of bespoke food stations fit for 200 guests.

As live music and bold floral installations transformed the grade I listed building into a vivid playground, our team reimagined simple seasonal produce in a multitude of ways – speaking to Somerset House’s versatility as a beloved space for cultural gatherings and events.

Seasonal flavours

As the exclusive catering partner, our chefs channelled Somerset House’s innovative spirit by bringing a carefully curated menu together full of seasonal ingredients. Spotlighting vibrant British produce such as carrots, tomatoes, figs and raspberries, each dish was as an ode to Somerset House’s creativity and forward-thinking.

Including warming dishes like tomato risotto with broad bean pesto, garlic and parmesan crusted carrots and dolcelatte and prosciutto-filled figs to eye-catching raspberries tartlets, each food station offered a feast for all the senses.

Interactive Food Stations

Guests were served ornate canapés and drinks from interactive food stations adorned with abstract colours and styled as beautiful mini greenhouses. The food was central to the styling of the event, complementing the vibrant colours of the evening to communicate Somerset House’s identity as a cultural and creative eco-system.

This special showcase was a true celebration of taste and inspiration, a blend of simple, elevated catering, and historical charm.
