We are relishing the return of in-person events and joy that comes with them. In anticipation, our Senior Event Planner, Katie Carter, has been sharing what the Moving Venue planning journey is like and what parts she is most looking forward to returning to.

We promise our clients a ‘stress-free and enjoyable’ event planning journey and that commitment and ethos is woven into the way we work. We feel privileged to be a part of creating your occasion and will always give our all to each and every event.

We are highly knowledgeable about the events industry, the latest trends, gastronomy and the intricacies of the venues in which we work. Our dedicated sales and planning team is with you every step of the way, collaborating closely with our talented chefs and expert operators to bring your vision to life.

What we can do for you

Whether it be helping you find a venue, designing a menu, styling tableware or pulling out our well-honed black book sourcing florists, photographers, furniture, lighting, bands or any other suppliers, we can be as involved as you would like us to be.

Whilst our team have enjoyed delivering a wide range of virtual events over the past 15 months, we are relishing the return of in-person events and joy that comes with them. Our planning team are working hard to prepare the upcoming season of spectacular events.

Shares what parts of the client journey she is most looking forward to on return.

“I have really missed the venues that we cater in over the last year. I often have ‘pinch me’ moments in this job and have always counted myself very lucky to be in palaces, galleries and museums after dark, seeing them in a way not many people do. I still marvel at the speed we, and the many other suppliers, seamlessly transform venues and then, after throwing an incredible event, pack down just as quickly, as though we’ve never been there. It’s quite a sight!” 

THE EVENT

“It will be no surprise to anyone that knows me and my love of theatrics that I do love to put on a show and I get a thrill from the rush of an event. I also enjoy the sociable aspect of the job – I meet and get to know so many wonderful clients and I get to form excellent relationships with so many fellow suppliers and the teams at our accredited venues. I think the pandemic has brought a lot of us closer than ever (not physically, of course!) and I am certainly looking forward to being back together onsite once again.”

THE DECOR

“Thinking about it though, truly some of my favourite elements of planning an event actually come in with the styling details, especially creating bespoke canapé trays and deliberating over exquisite cutlery, linens and glassware to create gorgeous table settings. Then you add magnificent table centres, eye-catching food stations, stylish bars, lighting, seating…  I love that design can totally transform and enhance an experience and no two events need ever be the same, whether we’re in one of those spectacular palaces or museums or even a marquee in a back garden.”

THE FOOD

“Finally, I couldn’t mention my favourite bits without mentioning tastings. The tasting is undoubtedly a highlight in the planning experience for our clients and despite the number of them I have hosted, I will never tire of them either! It’s not surprising that when you tell someone that a part of your job involves trying delicious food, wines and cocktails, they get very jealous very quickly, and rightly so!”

THE EXPERIENCE

“The tasting is an important moment as clients get to taste the dishes that have been making their mouth’s water as they’ve read them from our menus. If you haven’t done a tasting before; you won’t just try your specific event menu, we give you a range of options for you to make a selection from. We also show you linen samples and tableware options, discuss timings, logistics, service styles and fine details, all to ensure every detail is covered. By the time we reach your event day, we want you to feel calm and confident, knowing we have everything covered and of course, we’re there with our team on the day, leaving you to relax and enjoy the event you’ve created!”
